We need our sunglasses because it is a gorgeous day. The sails are rigged the engine is purring like a lioness and we have enough food to feed the Norwegian ice hockey team. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. After a few minor mishaps (blood on the sail, flashlight in the drink etc...) we are energized and ready to go. The sea calls our name and we are heading off to answer it.

Setting Sail

From an Irish blessing:
"May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields (seas). And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand."
You're in our prayers daily!
Great photo and post David! Your church family here prays you and the guys through!
Thanks for doing this! We'll be keeping an eye on it and praying as you sail south. Gracie and Lucas send hugs and say hurry back. They miss you already. Be safe.
From an Irish Wake:
"In the dark they fell a cryin'
for the dead who'd gone away
you could hear the drowsy wailin'
of those compelled to stay
but when the sun rose making
all the dooryard bright and clear
the mourners got up smiling
happy they were here."
not sure how that applies, but i want to be like father, and that's all i've got. i'm proud of you for following your RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING gift of ship-driving (that's what it's called, yes?), but i also want you back here. so if on your way, you or sean patch (who i also miss - give him tug on the ear for me) invent a cloning device, you know where to send you. i got a wallet.. i'm gonna drive a car...
