Thank you Santa

Our Christmas got off to a great start. A quiet night on the mooring provided us with the energy to get up before sunset and head out past Sandy Hook as the sun began to rise. The wind had died and the current was against us so we motored long enough for us to make breakfast and whip up some Soy Chai Lattes with a few shots of espresso.

Finding no coal in our stocking we were treated when Good Ole' Saint Nick delivered us some fair winds and following seas (really no seas at all). After too many days of motoring we were finally able to set sail and enjoy the silence that only our engines absence can provide.

We pulled in to Manasquan, NJ before the approaching low began to blow. Again, at the good fortune of friends, we were welcomed in to the Fertig household and enjoyed a Christmas dinner prepared by Chef James. Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmas to you, Sean and James... Beautiful pictures of the Moxie and sunset in NYC. Sounds like you are able to relax and lay back a bit before the next leg of your adventure... Nice to have a chef on board!! We all missed having you home in Maine but you are in our prayers and in our thoughts...Even had a bit of a bonfire on Christmas night.... God speed and best wishes as you set sail again...Love and hugs to you both, Mother Meikle

Give me a call: 203-912-3727 or the house 203-637-9612 to let us know where to send it. I hope NJ is... well, special. love, love, andthompsonisland - Liz

Sean and James hope you have smooth sailing and warm waters. You looked awfully small departing the Manasquan River. Keep this blog going. Good to see you.
